I have consciously chosen a "Direct-to-Consumer" model, meaning my audiobooks are not available on retailers like Audible, Amazon, or Spotify.
While those platforms offer visibility, they operate as "walled gardens" that often devalue audiobooks through streaming bundles and keep the majority of the revenue—sometimes up to 75%—while refusing to share who is actually listening to the work (the "Black Box" problem).
By selling exclusively through my own site, I avoid these algorithmic traps, retain creative control over pricing and bundling, and ensure that your purchase directly supports the creation of future stories and songs rather than renting the infrastructure of a tech giant.
